About Vastu Decor

We started in 2019, working weekends in Bangalore before the business had a name. Today there are about 40 of us in Pune: designers, project managers, carpenters, plumbers, electricians and painters.

We moved to Mumbai full-time in 2021, then settled the studio in Pune while keeping sites running across Mumbai. Two cities, one standard. Every project passes through our own workshop before it reaches your home.

We are not the cheapest studio in either city and we are fine with that. 96% of our clients either refer us on or come back for their next home, which is the number we actually watch.

How we work

Fewer projects

We take on fewer jobs a year than we could, so each one gets proper attention.

One team

Carpenters, masons, electricians and painters are all on our payroll, not subcontracted out.

The quote holds

Your quote is your final price. If we get the estimate wrong, we absorb the difference.

Long view

Structural work carries a 10-year warranty, and we expect to still be picking up the phone in 2036.

How we got here

2019

Started out in Bangalore on weekends. One designer, a few trusted craftsmen, and a phone for project updates.

2021

Moved to Mumbai full-time and took a dedicated workshop. First projects above ₹50L.

2022

Added the remaining trades so carpentry, plumbing, electrical and painting all sat under one roof.

2023

Relocated the studio to Pune while keeping sites running across Mumbai.

2024

Past 300 homes, with 32 craftsmen and 8 project managers on the team.

2026

480+ homes. Still family-run, Pune studio, Mumbai sites.

Who runs it

Nikhil Chopade

Architect & engineer

Nikhil handles the design and structural side of every project. He came up through architecture and civil engineering, and turns a client brief into something that can actually be built and will hold up.

Every drawing, material spec and detail sign-off goes through him, from the first sketch to the day the keys change hands.

Sandeep Mishra

Business partner

Sandeep runs the ground. From the first site visit to the final walk-through, he owns the timelines, the trade coordination and the day-to-day calls, so clients are not the ones chasing updates.
